KP students.

how's your holiday?is it good?i hope it is a wonderful holiday for you guys because it is for me. weee :D

hmm okay, its time to get homework done. huhu! the topic given for week 3 was "Do you think we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better grades?" which in other words, do you think we should give the KP2 students money so that they'll work harder to improve their grades.

KP is referring for students who has cgpa below 2.00 which also called "kedudukan percubaan". Usually in this stage, students have difficulties to raise their cgpa back to normal stage. For students who's first time get cgpa below 2.00 will called KP1 but for those who second time will be called KP2. As a KP1, they are still have chances to raise back and keep their result stable but still it is not easy thing to do while KP2 was totally out of wish.As for us, we totally disagree to give students money as incentive for them to get better grade.The first reason is student would not appreciate the money.The second reason is student will misuse the money.Lastly, money would not be able to change people to be better.
The first reason we disagree to give student monetary incentives is because they would not appreciate the money.They might be using it to buy their personal needs rather then buying a book to get better grades.Nowadays, there are a lot of gadgets exist in this world like psp, DSLR camera and so on, so students tend to buy all those gadgets with the money given as an incentive for them.

awesome!haha.so it would be better NOT to give them money as an incentive because they would a lot more gadget and an expensive and branded outfit.GUCCI?PRADA? haha :)

The next reason is we afraid student would misuse the money.having fun with friends, having a nice and exciting vacation or treating their love one (we mean girlfriend or boyfriend) using the money given as an incentive would be the reason why we totally disagree with the incentive.students will end up having fun not having a good grade.

Lastly. money would not be able to change student grade but they will become worst.Try to solve the problem by using other method or incentive.Money would change the students behavior not student grade.they will become more NEGLIGENT and end up getting cgpa below 2 again and again.

As for conclusion, we think it would be better to have other incentive for example books incentive rather than monetary incentive.Besides, parent should also motivate their children by having a vacation together after they finish their exam or give them monetary incentive if they success in the exam. :)
